Amazing Elizabeth Edwards

The Sunday New York Times had an article on presidential candidate John Edwards’ wife, Elizabeth. I’m so impressed with her attitude, optimism and grace under circumstances that would overwhelm most of us. The inoperable cancer she has would alone disable many of us, less run a family, a political campaign and manage chemotherapy. The article said that she is actively engaged in all decisions, small and major, including the one to hire Joe Trippi, the man who was responsible for raising so much money for Howard Dean in the last presidential election. Last week Elizabeth Edwards called into the television show Hardball when she heard Ann Coulter’s hateful slurs against her family. Coulter was cruelly referring to the death of Edwards’ oldest son in a car crash at the age of 16. If Chris Matthews, the host of Hardball, continues to give Coulter an audience to spew hateful rhetoric, he will lose his core audience—people who turn his show on to watch intelligent discussions of important issues of the day, not to listen to verbal garbage.

I don't really care for Ann C. but was disappointed in Christ Matthews and Ms. Edwards. It was evident that she was set up and Ms. Edwards had a prepared statement, evidently to raise more money for her husband. If I was Senator Clinton I would ask Mr. Matthews for equal time.

We also consider Elizabeth Edwards a gem - a gracious lady - and a STEEL MAGNOLIA. And one of the reasons we're supporting John Edwards - the best candidate with the best solutions for our country!

Elizabeth Edwards - prepared statement?
There was nothing in Elizabeth Edwards' delivery indicating her remarks were "prepared"! Most likely - she's lived with the thought of Coulter's comments about her dead son, the 911 widows, other indecent Coulter remarks - and now a death wish for her husband. Anyone deriding Eliz Edwards for standing up to Coulter - can't be a decent human being. However, these remarks are commonly heard on Fox News and other rightist panels - seeking to diminish John Edwards' message.

Elizabeth Edwards
is an amazing woman! She cares passionately about the ideas John Edwards has for our country. In one part of N.C., the Edwards privately funded a test program that pays for the first year of college for students who would otherwise have no chance to go. I hope Edwards is elected so this program can be possible all over the country. They make a great team!

That is rich...now someone is trying to say Ann Coulter was set up so Elizabeth could call in to comment. And people wonder why we call them dumbed down. This doesn't even make sense. Sort of reminds me of a man getting shot in the face and apologizing to the one who did it. LOL
